Volunteer Screening - Vulnerable Sector Check

All GCRA volunteers who work closely with minor athletes and who occupy positions of trust and authority shall undergo screening (Police Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector).

  • Please note you may apply online for the Vulnerable Sector Check with the Ottawa Police Services.
  • The process may take as long as 2 weeks or more depending on time of year.
  • Please choose the option of receiving your VSC via email.
  • When you receive it, save it to your computer so that you may upload it to RAMP.
  • Please print the volunteer letter and add your name in the space provided. You will need to scan the letter so that it can be attached to your on-line submission for the VSC.
  • If you are someone who typically has to be finger printed when applying for a VSC, please contact the Safety Director (gcrafin@gmail.com) for different instructions.
  • VSCs must be completed and in hand at time of registration and must be uploaded into RAMP no later than November 1st.  If this is not done, you will not be allowed to participate in any team activities as a volunteer (on ice, dryland, in change room, etc).
